Lesson Outline
Today, we explored how blood is transported throughout the body. We completed a lab activity where we counted our pulse after quietly sitting for 1 minute and after jogging in place for 1 minute. We compared the resting pulse with the jogging pulse and wrote a sentence recording our observation. Atticus wrote an answer to the following question: "Why do you think your pulse changed when you exercised?" We read a passage discussing the circulatory system. We recorded and illustrated the following vocabulary words: atria, ventricles, arteries, veins, capillaries.
