Demonstrate how to separate a mixture of iron fillings an sulfur using a knowledge of one of iron's physical properties, magnetism.
Pour 50 ml of ethyl alcohol in one beaker and 50 ml of water in a second beaker. Have Aiden completely describe both solutions.
Demonstrate how to separate the solutions when completely mixed by using a knowledge of their boiling temperatures and the condensation of a vapor.
Separate the alcohol from the water by distillation.
