Lesson Topic
lab-concentraion v rate
Lesson Outline
Formulate a hypothesis regarding the rate of a chemical reaction and the concentration of one of the reactants.
Perform the lab experiment using decreasing strengths of sulfuric acid and a constant mass of magnesium ribbon.
The reaction is viewed as the ribbon dissolves in the acid and produces bubbles of hydrogen gas.
The time to completely dissolve is recorded.
