We explored Salva's moral quandary when he encounters a group of men dying of thirst crossing the desert as there is insufficient water to save the dying men without consequently endangering his welfare. We addressed a similar moral choice the characters in "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" faced i.e whether to risk their lives in order to assist the Jewish population of Poland and Germany during the Nazi regime. As Atticus continues to have some difficulty with his study guide homework , I directed him to specific passages in the novel so that he could complete the assignment . Last, for our writing exercise, we examined how to convert the third person point of view of a passage concerning Nya into a first person narrative. Atticus started this writing exercise in class and will complete it for homework.
