A professional golfer who Cameron greatly admires is also the son -in-law of the greatest hockey player in history. Hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, who was known as "The Great One" during a professional hockey career that spanned from 1978 - 1999. Gretzky was a child and teenage prodigy player born and raised in Edmonton, Canada who eventually moved to the U.S. to play hockey. Gretzky is the leading goal scorer, assist producer and point scorer in NHL history. He is the only NHL player to total over 200 points in one season, a feat he accomplished four times. At the time of his retirement in 1999, he held 61 NHL records: 40 regular season records, 15 playoff records, and 6 All-Star records. After his retirement in 1999, Gretzky was immediately inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. The NHL retired his jersey number 99 league-wide, making him the only hockey player and one of only three players in professional sports history (including Jackie Robinson) to receive such an honor. He is an amazing figure in the world of sports and was respected by fans, coaches fellow players as well as world leaders, many of whom he met himself.
