"Oppenheimer" is a new film coming out this July with the subtitle: "The Story Of A Brilliant Mind Who Saw Himself Becoming Destroyer Of The World." The movie is about the Manhattan Project and J. Robert Oppenheimer, the "father" of the atomic bomb. Its star, Cillian Murphy, says its the best script he's ever read. During the detonation of the atomic bomb at the Trinity Test, Oppenheimer infamously stated, “Now I become Death, the destroyer of worlds,” as the scientist witnessed his historic creation, which led to massive destruction. Today's lesson focused on this WWII era event that changed the course of history. We also viewed a trailer for the movie directed by 5-time Academy Award director Christopher Nolan.
