The integumentary system consists of the skin, hair, sweat glands, and hair.
Present with a photo of a person exhibiting a burn on their leg. Elicit characteristics of the burn, how the skin looks. Determine that this represents a first degree burn. View diagrams of skin layers, have Andrew sketch skin layers and label. Introduce terms applicable.
Discuss keratin and the structures formed from it, scales, hair, nails, feathers, horns, and callouses.
Discuss functions of the skin, blistering, infection preventions.
Exaine and sketch the various layers involved
