Lesson Outline
List the organs and tissues of the integumentary system.
Present a hypothetical patient presenting with a burn on their arm. View a photo of the burned area and elicit all the visible signs and also what is missing from the area.
Display a diagram of a microscope photograph of skin, and question which area of the skin was affected by the burn.
Determine that it was the epidermis, and discuss the makeup and the function of the epidermis from the sketch. Have Andrew make his own sketch and label.

Andrew was very quick in describing how the area looked and what was not seen. ( Blisters, infectious signs)
He had knowledge of the different levels of burns, and we related that to the layer of skin which was affected.
