Occupational Therapy Treatment Session
Lesson Outline
Luke was seen in his room for a 45 minute occupational therapy treatment session. Focus of treatment was on improving his bilateral integration/hand usage, fine motor development, graphomotor skills, postural control and sensory processing/organization for improved general performance in various environments. Upon therapist arrival Luke was lying on his couch and said he was tired. Began treatment with bilateral hand work via sewing - up and down through holes. Continued to work on Zones of Regulation with more identification of emotions by reading someone's facial expression. Luke was able to place each facial expression card in either the red zone, blue zone, yellow zone or green zone with minimum assistance. Reviewed all previous learned letters in Script Island. Luke was able to form a majority of the learned letters correctly however needed reminders for the letters "d, h and q". Luke would benefit from continued work on Zones of Regulations to help with self regulation abilities.
