Occupational Therapy Treatment Session
Lesson Outline
Luke was seen in his room for a 45 minute occupational therapy treatment session. Focus of treatment was on improving his bilateral integration/hand usage, fine motor development, graphomotor skills, postural control and sensory processing/organization for improved general performance in various environments. To start today's session we continue with identification of feelings with the book "The Way I Feel". This book talks about and illustrates emotions. Luke was able to relate to some of the feeling and even gave examples of certain feelings he has experienced. He is starting to identify his own feelings. Continued working on Print Island. Today we worked on lowercase letter "v and x". Luke was able to label both these letters as trunk letters (line placement identification word which means they sit in the middle of the writing line). He continues to be working hard in OT. Great session.

Lesson Comments
Luke told me that he did not want the big poster board of the Zones of Regulation in his room but he was okay with the smaller version on his wall to reference. I told him that was great and he was able to communicate this in a thoughtful way versus hurtful way which was progress.
