Luke was seen in his room for a 45 minute occupational therapy treatment session. Focus of treatment was on improving his bilateral integration/hand usage, fine motor development, graphomotor skills, postural control and sensory processing/organization for improved general performance in various environments. During today's session we start with Rol 'N Write letter play. This is an activity in which a marble is placed on a plastic letter and the marble will roll in which the way the letter is formed. Today for Print Island we were going over the letters in the last group for lowercase which were "z and e". We used the Rol 'N Write activity to watch the movements to form these letters. During our fine motor play we discussed the Zones of Regulation and referenced which zone he was operating in. Luke was able to say he was in the green zone and shared a time when he was in the red zone. He is starting to be better able to identify his emotions and is becoming more self aware.
