It's very important in TV News to Present Tense. It's called the News because its supposed to be NEW. Staying Present is demonstrated by having Jackson learn the structure of being an on the spot reporter and doing a "Live Shot". In our mythical Live Shot for class Jackson started the script to be on the scene for the MLB Network where he is uniquely not only the Reporter but also a participant (give viewers very unique perspective!) Jackson starts to write a story.

It's very important in TV News to Present Tense. Rather ironically, Jackson arrived well past the start time of the first session. We did get plenty accomplished as we started when he finally arrived (moving forward Victoria will scheduling TV Sportscasting class to being at 7:30am
