Today Joshua took notes from our Flipped Math resources on 2.4 Exponential functions. These problems require a bit of creativity. We practiced problems that had us rewriting bases of 9 as a base of 3. We reviewed the properties of exponents, including how to work with negative powers. Then we discussed what these transformations would do to the function graphically. We noticed that a horizontal shift is actually a vertical dilation. We practiced taking the graph of y=3^x and then y=3^2x so we could see the similarities/differences.
