Will learned where to include a comma in a sentence that contains a quotation. He read various sentences that were missing all variables. We used to different colored highlighters to color code the direct quotation being spoken from the remainder of the sentence. Once he was able to differentiate the two parts of the sentence, he learned to place the comma there as a separator. As an assessment, he read various sentences that contained mistakes and Will was required to edit the sentences based on qoutations, commas, and punctuation.
