Joshua was absent today so we met online on Teams. We discussed section 2.5B on Exponential Functions context problems and modeling. We discussed how if something increases/decreases by the same percentage over and over again, we can use exponential modeling to create a function that would represent the scenario. We practiced just looking at given functions and determining what the rate of growth/decay is. Then we read various word problems and practiced coming up with the equations ourselves. These problems are a review of Algebra 2, so Joshua found this concept to be easy once I reviewed for him how to do them.
