Occupational Therapy Treatment Session
Lesson Outline
Luke was seen in his room for a 45 minute occupational therapy treatment session. Focus of treatment was on improving his bilateral integration/hand usage, fine motor development, graphomotor skills, postural control and sensory processing/organization for improved general performance in various environments. Began treatment with watching "Buddy the Elf" expected versus unexpected behaviors. Also talked about the "Grinch" and how he changed zones from always being in the red zone to being in the green zone most of the time. Worked on manuscript writing using Print Island. Today Luke was instructed on the upper case letter "M". He also participated in a lowercase writing activity in which he had to label parts of an elf. Boxes were provided as a visual cue for size of letters. He required min. verbal cues to form the lower case letters correctly. Good session.
