Richard was seen in his room for a 45 minute treatment session today. Focus of treatment was on improving fine motor skills (hand strength, grip strength, dexterity and manipulation), visual motor integration, ocular motor skills, and graphomotor skills/keyboarding as an alternate means to written communication. Today we worked on both keyboarding as an alternate to written communication and writing in cursive. Richard used typing.com to work on keyboarding. He is able to type around 7 words per minute with 84% accuracy. Continued working in Print Island on the group "Up and Around to Mikey's Hut". Richard reviewed previously learned letters in this group and wrote them well. The letters learned consisted of "c, o, a, and d". Today he learned lowercase letter "g". This was a little bit more difficult to learn but by the end of the session Richard wrote it well.
