Richard was seen in his room for a 45 minute treatment session today. Focus of treatment was on improving fine motor skills (hand strength, grip strength, dexterity and manipulation), visual motor integration, ocular motor skills, and graphomotor skills/keyboarding as an alternate means to written communication. Began today's session with mat exercises using MRNI technique to integrate the ATNR reflex. Richard continued session working on ocular motor skills with pursuits and saccades activities. Lastly, we continued our script handwriting practice and reviewed previously learned letters. We continue to put special focus on some letters that are a little more difficult for Richard which are letters "g and q" in cursive. We also worked on the high connector of "o" and making sure it looks different than cursive "a". Lastly we worked on the letter connection of "qu". Great session.
