Lesson Topic
Systems of Equations
Lesson Outline
I gave Carson a warm up on solving systems of equations. He was able to correctly graph the equations and reach a solution. Then I showed him how we could solve that same problem using the elimination method. We discussed how when equations are aligned, elimination is the easiest approach because it is least time consuming. We discussed how if adding or subtracting equations cancels out a variable, then we can solve for the other variable left. I gave Carson a few more examples to try so he could get the hang of it. At the end of class we had 10 minutes left to spare, so I asked him if he wanted to play ping pong. Again, I lost (twice). But I managed to score 4 points on him. LOL
