Lesson Topic
Occupational Therapy Treatment Session
Lesson Outline
Luke was seen in his room for a 45 minute occupational therapy treatment session. Focus of treatment was on improving his bilateral integration/hand usage, fine motor development, graphomotor skills, postural control and sensory processing/organization for improved general performance in various environments. Began treatment with a writing activity that involved Luke creating his own Pokeman character. He had to pick different parts to make a whole Pokeman and was very engaged in this activity because of his interest in this subject. He created a character and used this character as a page in his book he is working on in OT. He also wanted to survey his peers as to which power of a Pokeman is their favorite. We continue to work on and discuss our Zones of Regulation, expected versus unexpected behaviors and problem size matching reaction size. Luke understands all these concepts. Steady progress is being made.
