Today Carson and I continued the challenge activity we began yesterday. Carson was asked to find the surface area and volume of non-traditional 3D figures. I pulled the problems from an honors geometry class (two grades higher than Carson's). He was challenged in finding the formulas for the setups but it was a great exercise for him. He practiced higher order thinking by using the formulas he does know and manipulating them to solve for the problems given.
