Today Carson and I finished the challenge activity on volume and surface area of non-traditional 3D figures. Today Carson saw problems where we had 3D figures inside of other 3D figures. Carson was asked to compute the leftover volume if the inside figure was hollow. Carson did a great job thinking through these problems. We practiced setting up our work in an organized way, showing each step of the way. We also were careful to make sure we used the proper unit.
