Lesson Outline
Today Joshua continued the lesson we began yesterday on graphing polar functions. We use the radius and angle measure to then plot points and we see the graph it creates looks like a rose with petals. It's very neat! Today we discussed how the cosine function produces roses that start on the x-axis, and the sine function produces roses that start above the x-axis. We studied how the graphs can produce lines, circles, or roses with even/odd numbered petals. Joshua practiced graphing the functions given the equations. Then he practiced writing the equations given the graphs.
