Lesson Outline
We discussed the benefits of exercise and the importance of warming up and stretching to prepare your body and minimize injury prior to physical exercise and exertion. We discussed how exercise can help improve muscular fitness, academic performance, and can help put you in a good mood. Additional benefits discussed included how important exercise is for heart health; it helps your heart pump blood all through your body, and it helps your body stay at or reach a healthy weight. We then went outside, took a brisk walk, stretched and performed some exercises, and enjoyed the day's delightful weather. Jack took an interest in the plants, and I allowed him to water them. He enjoyed himself, did a good job, and responded politely when a classmate asked to help him.
