I asked Jack to continue to read in the novel we started by Louis Sachar and asked him to act out some of the parts and use the proper emotions and expressions when reading. Jack reads well and will attempt to sound out and decode words if they are unfamiliar. He paces himself properly, pausing effectively at end marks, and using proper inflections to denote the author's intent. I enjoy watching him engage in class and be an active participant.
