Ratios
Lesson Outline
Today I had a conference with PJs parents. During the conference, his Dad asked us to find the ratios between American Dollars and the European Euro. They are going to Ireland, France, and England this summer and his Dad had the great idea to incorporate these ratios in our lesson. We started with Ireland. PJ wanted to only focus on South Ireland first. To make it more involved, we discussed the population density. We looked up the size of the land and the number of people living there and found there are approximately 72 people per square km. Then we looked up the currency there is the Euro. $1 is approximately 0.93 Euros. We recognized that means our money is worth less in that country. We will dive into this a bit more next class.
