Lesson Outline
I had a particularly effective session today with Cade. He sequenced the alphabet with ease and built closed, open and silent-e syllables. I conducted visual, auditory and blending drills. Cade seems to be improving with his understanding of silent-e. We played a game of Crazy Moose with closed, open, silent-e, and R-controlled syllables. I dictated detached syllables for Cade to match to make real words. For spelling, I dictated words from yesterday's book, "Will at Bat" such as will, lift, grip, smack, grass. Cade still confuses short e and short i. I dictated the irregular words: his, is, you, what, and do (which he got correct). I dictated two sentences from the book, which Cade independently edited with CAPS. To conclude, I read to him for 10 minutes (Humphrey).
