I worked on reinforcing letter recognition with Libby this morning. Using letter tiles, I picked letters and tasked Libby with saying the name of the letter and saying its sound. She was able to recognize the letter 'H' but did not know the sound it makes, so we discussed different words beginning with the letter. Libby enjoyed the word 'Halloween' most of the words we chose in this exercise. We also read the book 'If you Give a Mouse a Cookie,' and Libby pointed to the title and the author's name. Libby was in excellent spirits. and followed directions well.
