Lesson Outline
Chris initiated the session by sharing that he was "happy to be together and talk today," and that had some "big stuff" to talk about. Chris proceeded to share details regarding recent events that had transpired over the last two days. Supports were provided to assist with linguistic organization and clarity of detail. This afforded an excellent opportunity to expand upon aspects of problem solving, making inferences, predicting outcomes and the impact of making choices. Chris was receptive and allowed for some conversational exchange with expanded verbalizations. The majority of responses consisted of acknowledgement and affirmation. Speaker -speaker overlap was notably strong today, with moments of acknowledgment by stating "huh?" Topic shift was characterized by the direct statement "I'm done talking about this now, and want to talk about other stuff." HIs request was respected, and subsequent topics were highlighted.
Subsequently, Chris was noted to provide increased contingent comments across 5 topics with increased vocabulary variation.
