Lesson Outline
As this morning's session commenced, Chris was observably pensive. His body language, affect and overall arousal state were clearly impacted on what appeared to be a fairly large scale.
Chris quickly shared that he had "a lot going on still." Upon inquiry, Chris expanded upon events that had transpired over the last week. Clarification of event timeline and detail was supported by direct questions and the provision of familiar cue strategies. Today's session afforded an opportunity to review "emotional states" that had been discussed in previous sessions. He subsequently shared that he remembered "talking about that stuff together," and that he "feels stuck on a thinking trail that doesn't feel good." Review and expansion of varied concepts adapted from the "Social Thinking" literature, as well as key aspects of presupposition, and problem solving were provided. He remained somewhat passive, although his affect shifted, and he was clearly more responsive to "solution strategies" as the session progressed.
