Lesson Topic
Needs and Wants
Lesson Outline
Libby was introduced to the words querer (to want) and necesitar (to need) and dibujar. We discussed the difference between needs and wants. Libby drew pictures on a chart that divided items into wants and needs. We used the Spanish words for need and want liberally in questions and statements that used pictures for communication.
Libby used the thought of a Key and an Arrow when remembering how to say the word for I want.
Libby and I spent a brief amount of time connecting the word querer (to want) to other verbs like dibujar.
By the end of the class she was able to say I want to draw completely independently.
