Memory: Dia de Los Muertos edition
Lesson Outline
Jason and I played a game of memory today. We played with some of the words and images that were part of learning about Day of the Dead.
Jason did a great job matching the correct vocabulary word with the proper image.
He then requested that we play the same memory game that he had played in pre-school. So, we played that game as well. As we progressed, I spoke in Spanish in increasing amounts and he spoke in English.
Jason had some great questions for me today during our discussion. He asked why I know Spanish and who taught me. We discussed this.
We discussed fun ways of learning Spanish at home like watching a movie that he loves (like Kung Fu Panda 4) in Spanish instead of English. He thought the idea preposterous. But, after class we spoke with Ms. Patti and she does it too.
