Lesson Outline
Libby was introduced the phrase I eat today. We started our session with a quick game of memory to give her ample repetition with our vocabulary words.

We then used clay to make different inanimate objects that we eat and that we don't eat. We made broccoli, peas, a phone, a drumstick (chicken or turkey), and Libby made a doll. As she was using the clay, we went over the phrases "I eat" in Spanish and I don't eat. We repeated each phrase a couple of times. I then pointed to each of our clay objects and asked in Spanish - "do you eat .... ?" She would then answer with either I eat or I don't eat in Spanish. This is designed to help Libby take a word that she already knows like comer (to eat) and hear it in different conjugations: comes, como (do you eat? and I eat). Thus, laying a foundation for further understanding of the many Spanish conjugations to come.
