First half of year review
Lesson Outline
Libby and I discussed much of the information that we have covered through the first half of our year.
We discussed: colors, numbers, verbs (brincar, bailar, comer, correr, nadar), key phrases (eat please, water please, bathroom please, my turn, we go).
At some point during our discussion, Libby heard that her much younger neighbor in the school was a little upset.
So, we went to ask her why she was upset. And, we invited her to come say hello to us if she felt lonely.
This was a great display of compassion and I am glad that Libby was so quick to go help a fellow schoolmate.
Libby and I listened to two Spanish songs. She said that she recognized one of them but not the other.
The word castanet occurs in one of the songs. She told me that she has played the castanets and we discussed that.
