This was my second session with Libby today. I read the Kate DiCamillo book, "Eugenia Lincoln and the Unexpected Package." We discussed the characters of the book and noted how each book we have read has a different point of view. Libby noticed that while Mercy Watson, the pig, is in the book, the main character, Eugenia, never calls her by name. Libby is very good at summarizing the action of a story and makes predictions enthusiastically. In between chapters, we paused for Libby to read a decodable reader. She read "Can you see Tom?" and "To the Top" from Flyleaf Publishing.
