Lucas dedicated today’s session to finishing his colored pencil piece and he did it! He added final yellow highlights that brought the entire composition together beautifully. He was clearly proud of the outcome and rightfully so. We celebrated the accomplishment by framing the piece, marking a strong finish to a long-term project he’s worked hard on. Mr. Marcus and I are so incredibly proud of the work he's done this semester. It was so wonderful to see him be able to compare his creative growth on this project as compared to his previous colored pencil drawings. Lucas expressed overwhelming enthusiasm for the self-directed projects he plans to do over the summer. With his drive, he is sure to go far.
