We read the book "I Love the Earth". We reviewed what we learned last week regarding soil. Then, we began learning about the five layers: bedrock, parent level, subsoil, topsoil, and humus. Next, Remi took notes about the bottom two layers of soil. We are learning this as a lead-up to the EDIBLE SOIL LAB that we will conduct on Wednesday during Science Lab. Remi is very excited for the lab. :-)
