Pj reviewed and checked his spelling homework. We talked about the meaning and scope of a plot, and used a diagram to reinforce its meaning. He read the author bio for the story, "The Brave Little Toaster." Before reading the story, he wrote the 4 vocabulary words from the story into his notebook. After he read the story, we analyzed the plot. He learned about participles, and completed an activity demonstrating his understanding of the concept.
