Lesson Topic
Dancing Raisins
Lesson Outline
Libby participated in an experiment about density. She poured vinegar and baking soda in a glass and made a prediction of what would happen when she dropped raisins into the clear glass. She learned that while they did drop to the bottom, they attached themselves to gas bubbles that made them dance to the surface. Once they reached the surface the bubbles popped, and the raisins went right back to the bottom to begin the process all over again.
