Lesson Topic
Ghosts and Scarecrows
Lesson Outline
Libby and I read briefly at the start of class, and she read some of the words to me. Then, Libby made ghosts by blowing with a straw on a blob of watered-down white tempera paint to create the ghosts’ bodies. Using the same paint, she painted some bones on paper. We will let them dry and and glue them on the black painted toilet paper rolls that will be strung together with yarn to create a chain. We will decorate the cafeteria for our Halloween party. Libby also created a scarecrow today. She followed a step-by-step process using critical thinking. We also worked on her control over her marking tool to strengthen her motor skills.
