Today, we looked into the history of Halloween and how it is believed to have begun in Ireland more than 2,000 years ago as a time of the year known as Samhain. The Celtic tribes would gather for food and games, marking the onset of winter, a time when the otherworld was believed to be present. We learned how, over the years, Halloween has incorporated many traditions from this original Celtic festival.
