We studied contract illegality as voiding a contract. I first reviewed the impact of a contract with an illegal purpose . Next, I provided instruction on contracts entered into by unlicensed parties ,(unenforceable ) and the concept of champerty - a lawsuit instigated and paid for by a person who has no legal standing but contracts with an interested party to file suit. Next, we studied the impact of exculpatory clauses and the consequences of a debtor making a fraudulent transfer to avoid having his assets seized.
