We practiced dividing decimals by whole numbers. We learned to place the decimal point in the answer directly above its position in the dividend, then perform long division as you would with whole numbers. We continued the process by dividing, multiplying, subtracting, and bringing down digits. When there was a remainder at the end, we added a zero to the dividend and would keep dividing in order to get a more precise answer.
