After a brief review of the characters and their relationship statuses, Ben and I read three chapters in the novel. We commented how several pages had notable typography - consecutive 'X's filling several pages and letters omitted from words, causing the reader be an active participant and fill in the blanks. We spent a considerable amount of time discussing the effects of Danieleweski's unconventional use of typography before reviewing the physical properties of the house itself.
