We addressed writing a first paragraph to an AP style World History essay on imperialism. I directed attention to the prompt and the outline I placed on google docs re : contextualization, evaluative thesis, and line of reasoning. We then discussed ideologies that influenced imperialism and how to create an evaluative thesis by comparing economic motives with ideological motives. Kaitlin then drafted a good first paragraph with all of the AP elements. I assisted in addressing academic word choice and structure.
