Lesson Outline
Patrick made a fish aquarium craft to represent the short i sound. For reading, we played a sequencing game where Patrick looked at a series of 3 events, and determined the sequential order in order for the events to make sense. We increased to a series of 4 events and Patrick was successful with this as well. Patrick read Flip and determined the events that happened. He was introduced to 6 new sight words and practiced reading them in context. We played "Blast Off with Punctuation!" I read sentences to Patrick and he determined if they were telling sentences or questions. If he was able to give me an answer it was evidence for him that I was asking something. This helped, but at times he would guess. If it was a telling sentence, he decided if it had emotion in it (Stay away from the fire) or was a basic telling sentence basic (I went to the park)
