Patrick answered comprehension questions about the story Flip, and earned 5/5. He read 8 sentences to determine the proper punctuation, and earned 5/8. After revisiting this skill, he still had a little difficulty, but began to grasp the concept better. He does much better if he hears the sentence read to him. This may be partly due to voice inflection. Over time, I would love to see him make the connection based on the meaning of the sentence during reading.
