Today Maya took the math Topic 2 Test. It took her a long time, but I know she did well. I read each problem to her slowly. She appeared very nervous and expressed her desire to get a 100. She was very thorough, remembering to line up her numbers carefully and double checked each answer. She did not have time do FF during her actual time slot since she had snack and used the time to complete her math test. Maya completed one FF game during her L-B time. In L-B, she began a new step in the V/V program. In the sentence by sentence step, Maya has her own workbook for this part of the program. She began with me reading a short, 3 sentence story aloud. We discussed vocabulary in the passage and Maya was able to use each word in her own sentence. Her job was to picture each sentence in her mind and verbalize her imagery. She needed some coaching, but eventually produced a vivid description using helpful gestures and her words. Nice work, Maya. Maya scored a 100% on her math test. Excellent job!
