Brandon received feedback on his prohibition paper and subsequently decided to move on to a different topic. He chose to write about homophobia, and we spent the first 20 minutes of our session brainstorming an argument about this fear and its components. Once we had an idea of where we wanted to go, I had Brandon write a tentative introduction and thesis statement, using Matthew Sheppard as a lead-in and homophobia as the end statement. Afterwards, Brandon emailed this thesis to his teacher to see if she approved and get her feedback on the paper's ideas.
