plural nouns -s -es
Lesson Outline
Patrick played a memory matching game where he tried to make noun matches. When he picked up the first card, he said the singular version of the noun and we recorded it on the board. When he found the noun match, he said it in the plural form, considering he now had two. This was a good way for him to see and hear the change; bush, bushes. We rewrote it in its plural form, with Patrick deciding if it needed an -s or -es based on the final letter(s) of the root word as well as the sound. (-s = s, z and -es = ez, iz) He classified the cards in his envelopes he made on Monday. He did a great job on this skill.
